Fiesta de la Musica
The 11th year of Fiesta de la Musica was held on Saturday, June 22 in downtown San José del Cabo with special guest performer Celso Piña and his Ronda Bogotá star musician. “La Fête de la Musique” started in France in 1982 as an initiative of the government to celebrate music and performers and is now currently celebrated in more than 120 countries and 700 cities around the world as “The International Day of Music.” Fiesta de la Musica (The Los Cabos Music Festival) is the largest in Mexico and is considered one of the most anticipated cultural events by locals and tourists featuring all genres and levels of musical experience from beginner to professional. For one night only, the streets of downtown San José and Plaza Mijares filled with thousands of music lovers who wandered between 20 different stages featuring live bands, DJ’s, mariachis, acoustical performers and more. The free event has become a national and international platform for musical talent in the region and has grown into an iconic event and tradition in Los Cabos during every summer solstice. Destino Los Cabos was a proud sponsor of Fiesta de la Musica! @FiestaDeLaMusicaLC
Los Cabos Open of Surf Re-Imagined
After six incredible years of the Los Cabos Open of Surf, Boardwalk Productions and the Los Cabos Tourism Board decided to take a one-year break from the traditional Women’s QS and Pro Jr. events to create and celebrate the unique surf culture in Cabo with a one-weekend surf, fashion, food, and music festival which was held at The Cape Hotel and Monuments Beach on June 21-23. This year’s “Soft Top Soiree” included surfers Josh Kerr, Mitch Coleborn, Sage Erickson, Jhony Corzo, Rob Machado, Blair Conklin, Robert Krulick, Ana Laura Gonzalez, and Anastasia Ashley. The waves did not disappoint this year with Josh Kerr taking home the top spot along with $5,000 USD, while Mitch Coleborn came in second winning $2,000 USD. The weekend event also included a swimsuit/summer fashion show on the roof of The Cape Hotel followed by a special performance by Aeroplane, live musical DJ sets each night at The Cape Lobby Bar, a 5 course dinner prepared by Chef Enrique Olvera and guest Chef Alejandro Ruiz, and meet-and-greets with some of the World’s best surfers. @LosCabosOpenOfSurf @TheCapeHotel

Coco Bongo Grand Opening
Coco Bongo Show & Disco opened with a bang in downtown Cabo San Lucas on the 4th of July! With locations in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Punta Cana, Coco Bongo is known for offering a one-of-a-kind non-stop party that combines elements of Cirque du Soleil, an over the top Las Vegas show, a Broadway musical, a disco, classic movies, favorite musical artists and more. The Cabo Grand Opening was my first time experiencing a Coco Bongo show, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. It turned out to be one of the most fun nights I’ve had in a long time! Ticket prices include regular open bar and the spectacular mini shows that last throughout the night. Or you can select a VIP package that includes additional items like premium open bar, bottle service, access through a special door to avoid lines, and reserved seating. I was truly impressed by the quality of the production which captured my attention from beginning to end with trapeze artists, dancers, gymnasts, performers and high energy staff members who had us up and dancing late into the night. Some of my favorite numbers included Moulin Rouge, Michael Jackson, Beetlejuice, the Mask and more. @CocoBongoCabo
