Four Top 10 Power the Eight Edition of the Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo 2024

The Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo 2024 boasts for its eighth edition a more than complete player roster with four players in the Top 10 of the ATP ranking and one more ranked at number 11. Previously, Alexander Zverev (No.6 ), Stefanos Tsitsipas (No.7), Holger Rune (No.8), and Casper Ruud (No.11) had been announced and they were joined by 2023 finalist, Australian Alex de Miñaur (No. 10) to form one of the best draws in the tournament’s history.

The protagonists will meet from February 19 to 24 at the Cabo Sports Complex (CSC), where the Greek Tsitsipas will seek to defend his title, one of the 10 he boasts at the age of 25.

In addition, the Los Cabos ATP 250 will feature three-star players. Dane Holger Rune, who at 20 years old is one of the young talents to follow in the circuit, Norwegian Casper Ruud, who has already played three Grand Slam finals, and German Alexander Zverev, who returned to the Top 10 and continues to climb positions.

For his part, Australian Alex de Miñaur, champion of Acapulco in 2023 and finalist in the last edition in Los Cabos, has started the season with a jump to the best ranking of his career. At 24 years old and with seven titles, he makes his debut among the top ten of the circuit.

Another notable visitor is American Christopher Eubenaks (No.35), who had a surprising participation during Wimbledon 2023 by reaching the quarterfinals. He will be joined by his compatriots Mackenzie McDonald (No. 42) and J.J. Wolf (No. 57).

Also arriving in Los Cabos will be Australians Max Purcell (No. 42) and Jordan Thompson (No. 47), as well as British players Daniel Evans (No. 38) and Jack Draper (No. 55). Serbia’s Miomir Kecmanovic (No.60), who advanced to the fourth round of the Australian Open, will also be present, as well as Germany’s Dominik Koepker (No.62). The tournament has the best cut in 8 years of history.

Three invitations from the tournament are for Mexicans Rodrigo Pacheco, Ernesto Escobedo, and Argentine Diego Schwartzman, who with their wild cards will participate in the main draw of the tournament.

The Mifel Tennis Open by Telcel Oppo 2024, the best tournament of the category in Latin America, will have a 28-player singles main draw and 16 doubles pairs. The eighth edition of its position in the summer and is now played a week before the Abierto Mexicano Telcel presented by HSBC in Acapulco.
