Oct 31- Nov 2 – Flora Farms Day of the Dead Altar Competition

Destino Los Cabos is thrilled to be a part of the 5th annual Day of the Dead Altar Competition at Flora Farms along with our friends at Bliss Events! The event connects local businesses with local charities, with 100% of profits going to local charities and animal shelters. Judges will choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner with prize money going to the charity paired with each winning team. The award ceremony will take place at 7:30pm on October 31 (Halloween night) and the teams will be as follows:

Tickets cost $450 MXN ($25 usd), all of which will be divided among the charities and includes a no host bar, Flora Farms snacks, as well as live music and entertainment for adults and children. You can purchase tickets the night of the event, or in advance at Flora Farms, El Wine Shop or Pez Gordo Gallery. And if you can’t make it on Halloween night, don’t worry! Altars will be displayed at the farm through Saturday, November 2. 

1-2 – Día De Los Muertos

Day of the Dead (or in Spanish Día de los Muertos), is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico. Unlike other popular celebrations, this multi-day holiday focuses on family and friends gathering to remember and pray for friends and family who have passed away. This meeting is to help support their spiritual journey. Families will go to cemeteries to be with the souls of the departed and build private altars with photos, memorabilia and favorite food and beverages of their lost loved ones. Day of the Dead is not recognized as an official public holiday.

1-2 – Día De Los Muertos at Casa Calavera & OMNIA Los Cabos

2 – Día De Los Muertos Art Market at One&Only Palmilla

Browse locally crafted artistic creations at Palmilla’s Día de los Muertos Art Market on Saturday, November 2, from 6-9pm on the Hacienda. Enjoy an evening of art and music under the stars as you browse locally crafted paintings, sculptures and other artistic creations at the Día de los Muertos Art Market. The event is complimentary. 2 – Altares de Muertos 12th Edition at Puerto Paraíso

The 12th edition Day of the Dead Altars at Plaza Puerto Paraíso takes place on November 2 from 6-10pm. They will have an exhibition of 20 different altars dedicated to different notable people who have passed on. They will also have an art festival, a catrinas and catrinos contest, sugar skulls, candles, traditional bread, and many gifts and surprises! The event is family friendly and admission is free.

8-9 – The Life Luxe Jazz Experience

The official jazz festival of Los Cabos returns for two days on Friday and Saturday, November 8-9 at the OMNIA Los Cabos Day Club in San José del Cabo, with a line-up of world-class musicians. 10 – Cabo Fitness Sunset Run 2019

Cabo Fitness Club, in coordination with the Los Cabos City Council, invite you to participate in a 5K or 10K Sunset Run. You will run at sunset on the Transpeninsular Highway in the Tourist Corridor of Los Cabos, with a panoramic view, between the desert and the sea. 17 – Don Diablo Trail Run 3rd Edition

The Don Diablo Trail Run is a challenging 35K cross country race, with a narrow path that crosses the Sierra Cacachilas mountain range. 24 – Carrera de Mascotas (Pet Race)

24 – Reto Baja MTB 100K

The 100K Baja Challenge is one of the most difficult mountain bike races, taking place in La Paz and El Triunfo, an old mining town located one hour from La Paz.
