Rancho San Lucas Grand Opening

On February 20, Rancho San Lucas celebrated the grand opening of their 834-acre master-planned community, and gave VIP guests an exclusive look at all their new offerings including unparalleled residential real estate starting from $650,000 USD for the Villas at Rancho San Lucas, up to nearly $7 million USD for the luxury oceanfront estate homes at Norman Estates. The community also features a world class 18-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman, a ranchero-style Golf Club, Grand Solmar Resorts and Spa, and many fantastic dining options. The event started with a cocktail reception on the lawn outside the clubhouse, with views of the rolling desert foothills and Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. Guests were entertained by mariachi musicians as well as a live band while enjoying handcrafted cocktails and delicious bites that incorporated fresh seafood, ceviche, duck and more. When it came time for the ribbon cutting ceremony, both former professional golfer and Signature Course visionary Greg Norman, along with Francisco “Paco” Bulnes, the owner and C.E.O. of the Solmar Group, gave heartfelt speeches. Guests were then invited to stay for dinner and a very special surprise performance by Journey, the famous American Rock band from the 70’s and 80’s!@RanchoSanLucasResort

Sancho’s Mardi Gras Celebration

One of Sancho’s biggest and best parties of the year is their Fat Tuesday/Mardi Gras party! This year Fat Tuesday came early on February 25, but that didn’t stop the owners of Sancho’s from packing the house for their annual purple, green, and yellow themed celebration. In addition to their unique and mouthwatering daily menu options, this years “Sancheaux’s” Mardi Gras specials included 2×1 Hurricanes, Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffee in a bread bowl, Shrimp and Catfish Po’ Boys, Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, Cajun Dry Rub Chicken Wings, “Slap Yo Mama” Fish Sandwiches, Butterflied Shrimp, Boudain Balls, and Cajun Corndogs. Partygoers and staff sported colorful limited-edition Sancho’s t-shirts, festive masks, and Mardi Gras beads all day long. And who wouldn’t love sipping 2×1 Hurricanes with a view of the Cabo San Lucas Marina?@SanchosCabo

EsperanzArte at Las Estrellas at Esperanza Resort

The 5th annual EsperanzARTE event was held on Saturday, February 15 at Las Estrellas restaurant at the famed Esperanza Resort. Cabo’s finest chefs united within the five-star resort along with a hand-selected collection of Mexican artists for a night unlike any other in Cabo. The event promotes gastronomy, art, music, and fine wine, tequila, and mezcal, and is on my personal top 5 list of favorite events in Los Cabos! Each food station was sponsored by a different restaurant in the area and every bite seemed even better than the last, as we wandered through the venue that thoughtfully distributed food and beverage stations around a large glistening pool. Guests had the opportunity to sample everything from pizza, tacos, mole, fish dishes, pasta, vegan offerings, and more while listening to a live band, taking photos with vibrant stilt performers, and enjoying phenomenal art from various local artists.@LasEstrellasEsperanza@EsperanzaResort

The 2nd Annual Designer Purse Auction benefiting Feeding Los Cabos Kids was held on Saturday, February 22 from 5pm-8pm at Bajo La Luna restaurant in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Tons of new and gently used designer purses were sprinkled around Bajo La Luna’s lounge area where ladies were able to wander around and place their silent bids. Ticket holders also enjoyed happy hour prices until 7pm, 20% off their bill for those who chose to stay for dinner, and a welcome drink and sampling of tasty appetizers. Thanks to the help of many hardworking volunteers, the event raised almost $6,000 USD for Feeding Los Cabos Kids with 60 purses sold! The money is used to feed children in some of Cabo’s poorest neighborhoods throughout the year. REmexico Real Estate opened their doors to the public for an evening of Art & Tequila at their downtown Cabo San Lucas office located in Plaza Bonita on February 19. The first in a series of Art & Tequila events they have planned throughout the year, in February they featured works of art from local artist Hector Olvera. Tourists and locals alike were invited to stop in any time between 5pm-7:30pm to enjoy a complimentary flight of tequila and mezcal and ask any real estate or Los Cabos related questions they had on their mind while viewing incredible works of art! Hector Olvera was also available to answer questions and all showcased art pieces were available for purchase. Network with local REmexico Real Estate agents and other members of the community at their next one night only Art & Tequila event featuring Mark Gabriel from Galeria Militar in Todos Santos on Wednesday, April 8.
