From musical concerts and food festivals, to restaurant and hotel Grand Openings and over-the-top parties and activities, Cabo always has something new and exciting to see, eat, and experience!

7th Cheese & Wine Festival – The 7th Cheese and Wine Festival was held on Saturday March 16 at the Sheraton Grand Los Cabos Hacienda Del Mar. The event is always a favorite among Cabo locals, and this year did not disappoint! For only $999 pesos (about $55 USD) guests enjoyed generously poured wine, cheese, cured meats, pizza, breads, passed desserts, ice cream and more with live music and dancing. The ballroom was set up with food and drink stations throughout the room, including vintage cars that functioned as both décor and serving tables, allowing guests to wander about and mingle with friends and the wine and cheese experts. A few new options were added this year including a special room rate of only $1,200 pesos plus taxes for Baja California Sur residents who wanted to stay the night, and a Sunday day pass option to enjoy the day after the event at Sheraton Grand Los Cabos! And because nobody who attends this event ever wants to leave at 11pm, they also added an afterparty with non-hosted bar from 11pm-midnight. 100% of the proceeds went to the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation!@SheratonLosCabos

Gala de Danza – On Saturday April 6th, Destino attended Gala de Danza, a captivating and magical evening of professional dancers and entertainers at Viceroy Los Cabos. Their website explains, “Since the summer of 2013, Gala de Danza has brought together artists from around the world to help enrich the lives of young dancers and the community. Dancers, choreographers and musicians from 20 different countries, have shared their talents in Los Cabos.” Seven years ago, Director and Founder Christina Lyon’s brought her vision of the best global dance gala to life, and it has continued to grow and thrive. GDD also collaborates with Danza Téllez and Danza que da Esperanza (Dance that Gives Hope) in San José del Cabo. The program provides scholarships for dance instruction, academic counseling, and meals for talented children and young adults in vulnerable conditions who don’t have the economic resources to attend classes. This year’s performances included an acrobatic wall dance performed by Maggie Andriani and Channel Pepper, an equestrian tribute to the late Francisco J Berrena by his son Valente Barrena, 10-time World Latin Ballroom Champions Riccardo Cocchi and Yulia Zagoruychenko, America’s Got Talent Finalist William Close & The Earth Harp Collective, local Cuban singer Rosalia de Cuba, and professional dancers Joseph Gatti, Melissa Hamilton, Maria Khoreva, Julian MacKay, Xander Parish, Hee Seo, Dawid Trzensimiech, Avery Gay, Petra Johnson, Tate McRae, Marcus Sarjeant, Burim B1 Jusufi, Illjaz Jusufi along with many other gifted performers. @GalaDeDanza

Diamonds International Party at La Lupita – Diamonds International hosted a client appreciation event at the new La Lupita in Cabo San Lucas on March 14. In attendance were representatives from almost every major resort in Los Cabos as a thank you for referring business to the company. Guests participated in an exciting raffle with prizes of beautiful jewelry, watches and more provided by Diamonds International. The uber popular taco eatery La Lupita opened its second restaurant in Cabo San Lucas late last year after the success of their San José del Cabo location. At the event, La Lupita provided tasty gourmet taco stations and mouthwatering “mezcalitas” along with other cocktails. La Lupita’s menu features more than 25 different mix and match tacos including my favorites Santo Pastor, Duck with Mole, Braised Pork and Roasted Ribs.@LaLupitaTacoYMezcal@DI.CaboSanLucas
